God's Creation

God's Creation, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

We went to the Aquarium at Fort Fisher on Saturday. We rode the ferry over and Caleb, Isaiah, and especially Amanda loved the ride. At the aquarium, we played a game called "What in the world is it?" People get to guess what kind of animal a fuzzy picture is showing. The boys thought that was a cool game because they won temporary tattoos. The boys had a great time, but were exhausted by the time we left.

Isaiah loved the fish at the aquarium, but loved the machine that flattens pennies for 50 cents more. Go figure.

Rachel's Dedication

Rachel's Dedication, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

Rachel had her baby dedication today. We took a ton of pictures and I will post some soon, but I had to do this one first because it reminded me so much of how Caleb looked at us when he was this age.

Even A Super Hero . . .

Even A Super Hero . . ., originally uploaded by DocUNC.

Has to have snack time.

We went to the Exploration Station while Caleb was at Animal Camp. Isaiah fell in love with being Superhero Isaiah, but we still had to put stopping crime on hold for a few goldfish and some apple juice.

Caleb's New Hat

New Hat, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

The other night, Caleb had a fit because he did not have a hat to wear when we went out to eat. So, I bought him a new hat from Children's Place.

He wore it for all of ten minutes. That is just the way it goes.

On The Deck

On The Deck, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

We went to eat at a new little restaurant in Elizabethtown called Paradise Cafe. The food was good (great fries) and after we ate, the kids went out on the deck. I had my camera along with me and decided to take a few pictures of Isaiah while we were outside.

Time Management

Time Management, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

We took a few shots in the backyard before going out for dinner. We were waiting on Momma, so we used our time wisely.

He wanted to have the leaves in the shot with him.

I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Five in February. He is not looking like my baby any more.

Watchin the Works

Watchin the Works, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

This was a shot of the children watching the fireworks. Caleb is on the end with the camo shorts (He has my ears). It was a great night and a lot of fun with friends. Happy 4th again!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

This was a shot of Amanda at the fireworks last night! I hope everyone has a safe and blessed July 4th!

God bless America!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

We will celebrate our 7th year of marriage on Monday, but we were High School Sweethearts since 1995! I love my wife!

All this time and she has not killed me . . . YET!

My Dynamic Bride

My Dynamic Bride in HDR, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

After taking the pictures of Amanda and her sister, I asked Amanda to take some pictures by the old barn in the field. I was playing around with a new photo technique and this is what I got. We had to crawl across a ton of briers, but it was worth it, i think.

Mud Slinging

Isaiah was having a blast playing in the mud.

Beating The Heat

Beating The Heat, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

With highs of 95 to 100, we have made use of the water hose and sprinkler for an afternoon cool down.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

We stopped by KK in Myrtle Beach, SC. Isaiah and I could probably eat about 6 in a minute. SO, SO, GOOD.

That is such a great business plan - Turn on a light and people stop and buy doughnuts.

Rainy Day

Rainy Day, originally uploaded by DocUNC.

Caleb wanted to play in the rain with his boots and new CARS umbrella, so I took a few shots before the down pour. Not a great image, but Amanda loves this one.

Amanda and Melinda taking some pictures for their mom's birthday. This was the last shot of the day.

Catching Up

The image of Amanda was one from Easter that she loved so I thought it would be nice to post.

We bought a Tee-Ball set for the boys. They played with it all of two minutes, but at least I got a shot of Isaiah looking like one mean pitcher. Hey Batta, Batta, Swing, Batta.

We also took the boys to pick their own strawberries. That was a ton of fun. Both boys loved the farm. We probably should have weighed Isaiah before and after because he ate more than he picked. Caleb was the collector. He wanted to pick every one of the strawberries so he would have them all. He definitely wanted the perfect one. This shot of Caleb was the one he considered to be the best strawberry. So proud.

It has been too long since I uploaded. Very busy. Thought I would put up some Easter shots.

GQ

I finally was able to get Caleb to pose for a picture without any more gray hairs popping out all over my head. He looks so cool, but too grown up for Daddy. I like how he was making the "hang loose" sign with his hand in the top picture. That was his idea of how to put his hand in his pocket.

Sittin' In The Grass

Isaiah is such a fun child. He will laugh at anything. I think for this picture I was singing a rousing rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Monkey." Changing that one word gets belly laughs at my house.

Red Hot

Amanda is gorgeous. This is a picture I took yesterday and has probably become one of my favorite images of Amanda.

Playin' In The Grass

Isaiah and I were playing in the backyard after his haircut yesterday and I took a few pictures. He is such an easy going guy and laughs hysterically at almost anything silly.

BASS (As In Guitar, Not The Fish)

BASS is what is written on his shirt, but everyone on my photography site has asked what this picture has to do with fishing. Anyway, this is one of my handsome young men.

I need more pictures of Isaiah. We go through cycles. Caleb will let me take some pictures for a while, then Isaiah for a while. Lately, Caleb has been agreeable.

Amanda

Just playing around with the camera while the kids were napping.

My Boy Is Four!

We recently celebrated Caleb's fourth birthday. We had a really great time at his Dinosaur Party. Many of his friends came to the Exploration Station and had cake and other goodies. We ended the party with a Dino Egg Dig. Sand got everywhere, but I think the kids really liked the surprise of finding an egg buried in the sand with cool dinosaur treats. Unfortunately, I think Isaiah believes all dinosaur eggs had fruit snacks inside.

Watching The Snow Fall

Amanda was in the chair watching the snow fall. The snow was beautiful, but nothing compared to her. Isn't that mushy?

Snow Day

Caleb and Isaiah had a wonderful time in the snow. We made two trips outside because Daddy didn't have to go to work. On our first trip, Isaiah was in awe. The second venture out did not turn out so fun for Isaiah. He got wet with snow and was miserable, but Caleb had a blast. Snowball fights, a snowman (less than a foot tall, short attention span), snow angels, we did it all. You never know when we will see the white stuff again.

Christmas Isaiah

Isaiah had a wonderful Christmas. He opened his EVE toy almost instantly. I did not know an egg could bring so much joy and excitement. He would not open any other presents after opening the EVE. He just walked around carrying her everywhere.

He enjoyed everything, but we could have saved a lot of money if we had stopped with the EVE.

Christmas Caleb

Caleb enjoyed Christmas. He liked his new bike until he realized that he had to work a little to get it going. Then it did not seem to be quite worth the effort. We are still working at it though. It is just going to take some good weather and time.

He absolutely loves his TAG Reader. His favorite books are Olivia and Kung Fu Panda. He thinks it is the coolest gift.

WALL-E's Christmas

I am going to post some Christmas pictures this afternoon, but we had a WALL-E Christmas. The boys had a lot of fun.

Things Are Looking Up

Caleb is definitely a serious child. He seems to get even more serious when I break out the camera. He is a great kid, but I think he hates my camera. But, I did get a little smirk so maybe things are looking up.

Isaiah Playing With Daddy

Isaiah was playing chase with me. He was always "beating" me to the tree. He is a fast little booger.

Boys Rule

At least mine do anyway!
